Dear Family and Friends,

Recently a very respectable Christian told me that he thought the “MuhammadLied.com” and “JosephLied.com” signs we use were “sensational,” and even though he believes Muhammad and Joseph were false prophets, he did not feel comfortable endorsing our ministry. I think this individual means that these signs are designed to produce a strong reaction. If so, then yes, they are designed to wake the dead as it were. We have seen so many people go to these sites because curiosity gets the better of them, and they can’t get these images out of their minds. We believe the reactions are worth displaying these signs in public. (For just one example of a Mormon following Christ and leaving Mormonism as a result of viewing my sign, see Belinda’s testimony.)

Jesus set the precedent of “sensationalism” by making it a practice to heal people in front of the Pharisees on the Sabbath. He could have chosen another day to be less offensive, but these miracles were designed to “produce a strong reaction.” The reaction Jesus got was crucifixion. Paul told us, “Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. For it is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret. But everything exposed by the light becomes visible, for it is light that makes everything visible. This is why it is said: ‘Wake up, O sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you’" (Eph. 5:11-14). Exposing people who love darkness produces strong reactions. The reaction Paul got was riots and jail.

I am not advocating that all Christians are called to engage in evangelistic activities that may lead to crucifixion, riots, or jail time. I am advocating that we stand by our Christian brothers and sisters if that is what God has laid on their hearts.

Dr. Robert Jeffress with Rob and Maddy
Last month my step-daughter Madison and I went to Dallas First Baptist (my wife Tara was sick). I wanted to thank the pastor Dr. Robert Jeffress for making national news in claiming that it was inconsistent of the GOP to want a Christian as president and then get behind Mormon Mitt Romney. I was able to thank Dr. Jeffress, and I gave him a Jesus Christ/Joseph Smith DVD. Dr. Albert Mohler, Jr., the president of Southern Baptist Seminary in Louisville, KY, just happened to be at the service we attended.

He had a debate with LDS Orson Scott Card on Beliefnet this past summer. I thanked Dr. Mohler for participating in this debate, and offered him a Jesus Christ/Joseph Smith DVD, but he said they already passed them out at his seminary.

Our ex-Mormon meetup group met last month for a potluck and to watch the classic God Makers. For my review of this film, please see HERE.

While visiting my brother Mike in Wichita, KS over Thanksgiving, he and I went door to door with my Beware of False Prophets tract around the neighborhoods of a Kingdom Hall (Jehovah’s Witnesses) and an LDS ward. One non-Mormon who lived across the street from the ward said that he has the Mormon missionaries coming by all the time it seems like. My brother just happens to work with another individual who received the tract around the Kingdom Hall. He is a Christian who was really encouraged by the tract.

With all the attention concerning Mitt Romney’s Mormonism lately, Tara and I have been utilizing the blogosphere to get the word out on the differences between Mormonism and Christianity. We are not playing politics, but rather taking advantage of the American public’s curiosity of Mormonism. Romney’s campaign has caused a lot of people to question Mormonism, and has resulted in many coming to MormonInfo.org to find answers. I have also been writing my own blog entries regarding Romney’s campaign on our CourageousChristiansUnited.org site. Our thinking is that God has given us a great opportunity to educate the American public. We encourage all of you to take advantage of this special time to inform people as to what Mormonism is really all about. We encourage you to direct people to our web site.

Tara mailed her uncle the book by Lee Strobel, The Case for the Real Jesus. Please pray that her uncle will read it, and that God will open his eyes to see Christ for who He really is.

Please remember our financial needs during this Christmas season. Your financial investments and prayers make this ministry possible. We need your continued support. Tara and I are planning on returning and staying in Utah in a couple summers. We would like to have enough of a support base that would enable us to move back, and we need your help to make this a reality. We ask that you please consider and pray about investing in this ministry on a monthly basis. If you would like details on how to contribute financially to this ministry, please see our "Invest" page. We have recently set up a secure Electronic Funds Transfer program to simplify your regular giving. The automatic billing form may be found HERE.

Thank you so much for your concern, financial investments, and prayers for this ministry, and for those trapped by false religions and philosophies.

Merry Christmas!

If you are a true Christian, then why try to harm others and their beliefs? This is wrong. You are hurting other people. I'm a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and do I have website saying that Baptist or Catholics or anyone else is wrong? If you are a true Christian you will accept everyone for who they are and not try to destroy what means the most in their lives. I have read The Book of Mormon and have for myself my own testimony it is true. And I'm not saying this to make you believe, I'm being the mature one and letting you believe what you wish. And if you want to just keep on telling others that our church isn't true, you could do so with some class. Please do not have pictures of yall opposing us with our sacred temples in them. That is blasphemous and wrong. If you at least listen to me for a second and hear the desire and how much you have hurt my feelings(but not my testimony) I would really appreciate it.

[I responded:] I'm sorry you feel bad, but you're going against my beliefs to preach to Mormons the way I do. If you really know Jesus, then remember how He laid into the Pharisees in Matthew 23. I believe Mormonism is evil, and Jesus would warn you before it's too late. I don't want to see you go to hell for believing a false god, false Jesus, false prophets, and false scriptures. Jesus taught there was only one true God (Jn. 17:3), but Mormons are polytheists in believing in 3 separate gods who are only 1 in purpose for us, and there are many other gods for rule over other worlds. That is what is truly blasphemous. Your true friend, Rob

Rob, Someday YOU will stand before god and say Lord Lord did I not profesy in they name and in they name do many great works. I will help that day come sooner if I meet you. If I get another flyer on my doorstep from you I will press charges for harassment. Hugs and Kisses,

Thanks so much for posting other testimonies of former mormons who have been introduced to Christ and broken away from the LDS church! In my situation, I have felt alone and sequestered in my decision to accept Jesus and even though I have many friends who are Christians, none of them come from the same background as I. Your videos help me to feel a camaraderie with these other new believers and I count your ministry as a miracle in my own journey to the real Christ. Many thanks,

What do you think of the LDS change to the B o' M intro disavowing being the principle progenitors of the American Indians? [See HERE for a Deseret News article on the subject.] For me, even though many intellectuals in the church deny the intro being scriptural, it is difficult to separate out the "infallibility" of any statement in the book. At least since there seems to be such a great emphasis on divine authority when it come to any doctrine related pronouncement. On the other hand, I could be underestimating the squishy subtlety of their logic. Although FAIR would not see it my way, I do think it is a weaken of their position. That is to say it opens a big gap in the door of questioning.

[I responded:] I agree with your position on the BM. I think it still doesn't look good for them. Another "accommodation" issue like polygamy and blacks, etc. I've talked to LDS who thought that even their LDS Bible Dictionary is inspired since it came from the Church and is contained in a standard work of theirs. Those are the LDS who are going to get rocked by this. It also shows how uncertain the LDS pronouncements are if nothing else. [Basically every LDS prophet thought that the Lamanites were the principle ancestors of the American Indians. For more on this, see HERE.]

Dear, Mr. Rob
As a devout member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints - I tell you to keep on doing what you are doing. After all, life is to short to not have any opposition. We must resist anything that causes discomfort. If it does then it must not be good for us. I mean when Jesus was on the earth his ministry was a cake walk. Everybody loved him, he always was welcome, the councils of Jerusalem believed him and cherished him. Furthermore, the Jews wanted what was best for him. Yea right. So, for the Mormon church to have any opposition at all - it is completely unnecessary. But, the fact that you and your wife and countless of other "groups" so adamantly oppose the church and are trying to inform people and help them - is a direct realization to me that this church is really something good and is really true. Think of it this way, why did the Jews hate Jesus? Good looks? Tall? Athletic? People-pleaser? No way. It was because he told them what they did not want to hear. Ultimately my friend, salvation comes from Jesus and through no other way!!!! Please, think about what you are doing. What do you think you are going to say to the Savior when he asks you "Why were you so concerned with the Mormon church and not with me?" Please do not do anything that would cause you regret for a very very very very very very long time.

P.S. I will pray for you tonight.

Your friend in the gospel,

[I responded:] Hi, Your cult attacked my Church first, and because I love you and other LDS, I'm simply trying to warn people about false prophets... not just the LDS prophets, but if you read my tract Beware of False Prophets, you'll see that I also warn against Jehovah's Witnesses and Islam, and generally any group that devalues Jesus from His position as "God over all blessed forever" (Rom. 9:5).

Because I get so much persecution from the cults, it tells me that I must really be following the true Jesus. Praying that you'll repent of your cult before it's too late and you end up in hell for eternity.

Your friend, but not in your false gospel of Jesus plus all you can do to be worthy, Rob

Can I play anti-Mormon too -- please, please, can I, please?

The truth is, no one cares for your bigoted anti-Mormon opinions, all except for other bigoted anti-Mormons -- You "Anti's" just don't get it! Be assured the LDS Church is not going to go away anytime soon. At the end of the day, I am still justified in my sacred LDS beliefs. We are still here and waiting for you to REPENT -- Dead or Alive.
