Newsletter Hiatus

In case you were wondering, there was no newsletter for July. Since I lost my part time teaching job the end of June, I was focused on individually contacting everyone on my email list about our support needs. (For the results, please see our “We Need Your Partnership!” section below.) Nonetheless, lots of other ministry still happens, but I’ll be as brief as possible in this report (consider the MAILBAG extra!).

William and Tyler with Rob Sivulka
2 Guys Pray to Receive Christ

By far, the best news for these past couple months has been that I was able to lead 2 guys (William and Tyler) to the Lord outside the Brigham City temple opening. (Temple openings allow the public to go through a Mormon temple for a few weeks until it is dedicated.) I am really confident that Tyler knew exactly what happened to him when he prayed with me to accept Christ, but I’m not as confident with William. Both were nothing religiously, but Tyler was from a former LDS family that no longer goes due to all the judgmentalism and hypocrisy.

Deidre

Right after I felt like I was banging my head up against a wall with a Mormon couple, this gal, Deidre, pulled over to the corner while we were witnessing in front of the Brigham City temple, and in almost tears, she thanked us for being out there. She pulled up on the road to talk, and told me that she's been to my site. She's the only one out of her huge LDS family that is done with Mormonism and wanting Christ. I encouraged her with Matthew 10:31-39 (the cost of following Christ is often our families), and prayed for her, as well as encouraged her to get involved at the local Main Street Church. I also told her that my wife is also the only one in her huge LDS family that has come out and come to Christ. But Deidre really encouraged us to keep doing what we're doing out there!

Right after that, some guy came by and threw our newspaper in little pieces at my buddy John Kauer. Later when we left, someone had ripped another newspaper up and left it under my windshield wiper. As the late evangelist Wally Tope used to say, "Successful tracting!"

West sidewalk where we are restricted access
Abridgment of Free Speech Rights

Brigham City has given us 3 sidewalks for free speech. We had to request permits for them the Monday after the Saturday opening day. We had to wait to get them until Tuesday, so in the mean time, we put our newspapers out on the neighborhood doors. The city has denied us access to the west and east sidewalks of the temple square. Unfortunately for us, people are bussed on the west sidewalk for drop off and pick up. That means that most of the people are sheltered from getting our newspapers. We have been in talks with the city, as well as attorneys, and hopefully they will open up these sidewalks for us for this last week of the temple opening. Believe it or not, the ACLU is wanting to help us! Whether the city opens up the sidewalks or not, this is just another of many instances we’ve documented in which our free speech rights have been abridged, and we are looking at eventually leveling the LDS Church with racketeering (RICO) charges. (A couple years ago, Brigham City came out with this restrictive ordinance right around the time its temple was announced.)

4th of July Ministry

I was with our family at Murray Park for a 4th of July celebration. I talked to a couple LDS missionaries there--one from England and one from Frisco, TX. (I’ve witnessed to at least 10 missionaries in the past couple months!) The latter did most of the talking. I had a good conversation with them. I challenged their testimonies, the origination and racism of the Book of Mormon, their polytheism, their means of salvation, their Jesus only creating some things when they claimed He created all things, Smith's character, etc. They ended up basically running away from me.

Then get this... I went up to a guy wearing a Jesus is the way, truth, and life T-shirt like you'd get at any Christian bookstore. I patted the guy on the back shoulder, and told him I loved his shirt. I told him I was a fellow born-again Christian, but he told me he was LDS! He said that the LDS Church isn't what it used to be. I told him they still devalue Christ by teaching He's the spirit brother of Lucifer and us in a pre-earth life, and that's a false Jesus. He simply told me he wasn't going to argue religion with me, so I told him I pray he repents of following this false Christ.

We Need Your Partnership!

We not only need your prayers, but we need your financial assistance as well. Here's some good news… since sending out our support letter for the past 2 months, we're only about $100 short of what we need in monthly commitments to make up that loss from my teaching job. This support is only until the end of the year, and that's provided everyone will be able to follow through with what they said they would.

God has really been taking care of us, and he’s been using you to do that. Last month, I got off the phone with my wife, and she tells me we got another bill from the IRS for Courageous Christians United, and it's $250. Immediately after I hang up with her, I open up an email from a friend, and he tells me his wife is sending a check to CCU for $250! Actually the IRS bill ended up being for $256 something, but still... thank you Jesus! And thank all of you for partnering with us and being concerned about our needs.

Keep in mind that your investment is not simply for us, but for the lives of others we reach with the gospel. The standard way to financially invest is by writing a check to Courageous Christians United (CCU). But we also have secure electronic funds transfer programs available if you are interested in the simplicity of monthly withdrawals without the stamp. This also helps us with our monthly budgeting. For more information, please see our "Invest" page. Please also keep in mind that, particularly in this economy, we have no financial guarantees each month. Ministry partners come and go as jobs do. If you’re not a partner, please consider joining our team and let us know soon. We’d love to be your missionaries here in Utah. Many thanks to those of you who hold us up in prayer and in your financial giving!

“Be strong and courageous” (Joshua 1:9)!

An Outstanding Report... an Outstanding Mission for the Lord.

It was so, so great to meet and serve with you, we hope to become much closer as you are an inspiration to us "new converts" out of Mormonism.

Thank you again,

In Christ,

…I recently saw that “your services are no longer required” as an adjunct professor, and think that is very much the wrong move by the college. More so, I’ll be praying for you and your family as this gives you an ill-timed big financial hit. I’m encouraged, though, by the comments from you and several other colleagues on Facebook expressing hope in God for provision and opening up opportunity for something “bigger and better.” May the Lord give you clear wisdom and discernment for where He wants you.

More christians who don't know how to behave in public. Your parents did you a disservice.  Jesus is a myth...

[I replied:] yeah sure, so is Muhammad or Aristotle.  [You] must be another agnostic who doesn't know how to behave in social online mediums.

[He replied:] The word is atheist. And I call out false information wherever I see it.

[I replied:] Almost all historians grant that Jesus existed. This is on the basis of, not only of the eyewitnesses of the New Testament, but also on the basis of Tacitus, Lucian of Samosata, Suetonius, Pliny the Younger, Thallus, Phegon, Mara Bar-Serapion, the Babylonian Talmud, Josephus, as well as early Church Fathers. The only myth going on here is your idea that Jesus was a myth. This is village agnosticism, and makes it very difficult to take you seriously.

[He replied:] None of them were eye witnesses and all of them wrote decades or centuries after this supposed crucifixion. And *most* historians take no position on jesus' existence. It's a default position.

[I replied:] The gospel writers were eyewitnesses with manuscript fragments dating to the 2nd century (that's a much shorter time between the original and their earliest manuscripts than any other ancient work), and we know that most of the New Testament was written by Paul [an eyewitness], who was beheaded in Rome in the early to mid 60s AD.  Further, Luke gives a prophecy of the fall of Jerusalem in his 1st gospel.  That happened in 70 AD.  In Luke's 2nd writing to Theophilus, Acts, he would have made mentioned of that to legitimize Christ's claim if the event had already occurred.  However, there is no mention of it, nor of Paul's death in Acts.  This is why many New Testament scholars assume an earlier date than 70 AD.  Luke's intro to his gospel and Acts mentions his careful consultation of eyewitnesses.  Matthew was traditionally taken to be the first gospel written.

You weren't an eyewitness to George Washington, but you're still justified in believing and telling others that he existed.  There were eyewitnesses to him just as there was for Jesus.  This is why all those sources I listed held to the historicity of Jesus even in the 1st century.  Even Dawkins admits Jesus existed (around 8:37), and says that "most historians think he did" [exist].  And even Dawkins can't claim the omniscience of atheism, so he has to claim agnosticism.

[He replied:] No. The gospel writers were not eye witnesses. That is clear from their language and geographic mistakes.

There are multiple independent verifiable accounts of Washington including artifacts, government records, and his own manuscripts. None of exists for Jesus.

Dawkins is an atheist. The Jesus he was talking about he denies was a god. That makes him an atheist.

[I replied:] Nice going in dealing with any of the arguments I made, Jim. You simply gainsay the point of eyewitnesses without specifying language and geographic mistakes. You don't demonstrate the gospel writers were as removed from the alleged event as you originally stated. Simply because there are no artifacts or government records or his own handwritten manuscripts is no reason to think Socrates never existed. Eyewitness testimony is sufficient, even if that's all we had for Washington. And you don't deal with the links I provided. Again, you can't be taken seriously, and it's really a waste to continue.

Ahem... fairly certain you wouldn't like it either if there were Mormons or Muslims shouting outside of an evangelical play being put on that you were attending with YOUR family.

[I replied:] Ahem... since you don't know what goes on... we don't preach once the pageant starts, since we wouldn't like that at our events. But we'd certainly like others to come and try to convert us... it would show how concerned they were for us! So I do my evangelism with the Golden Rule in mind.

[He replied:] I've seen videos on Youtube of some guy screaming at Mormon teenagers... maybe some people are hospitable, but most of these scenarios are just disgraceful. The worst of which I've seen was endorsed by Wretched radio and consisted of some guys screaming at Muslim kids at some sort of carnival fest in Michigan. I just don't get it, when people are just trying to enjoy themselves, why do you have to yell at them? Doesn't make sense.

[I replied:] Well when I preach without a megaphone I have to raise my voice in such a way that more people can hear me. Obviously people interpret that as hateful yelling, so I have to continue to qualify how much I love them and I'm just trying to warn them. Stuff like that. After the pageant I use the megaphone, and there's no yelling at all. It's just a normal voice where everyone can hear. I get a permit from the city each year to do that. Here's an example video.

so people are going to see a Christian pageant and you preach to them about a differnt Jesus? I'm lost.

[I replied:] Well if we thought it was a Christian pageant, there'd be no need to preach. Here's a clip of the pageant that all Christians find blasphemous and makes the Mormon Church not a genuine Christian Church.
____________________________

again, with the Mormon's aren't Christians thing? Don't these people know the name of our Church?

[I replied:] just because you use the name of Jesus doesn't entail that you know the Jesus of the Bible. This shouldn't surprise us, since Jesus said that "false Christs, and false prophets" would come in the end times (Matthew 24:24). If you'd like to see how different the LDS Jesus is from the Jesus of the Bible, then please see my Home page chart of differences on my www.MormonInfo.org site.

[She replied:] The LDS Jesus is the Jesus of the Bible!

A real Cristian at heart wouldn't be set on trying to destroy people's faith in Christ.

[I replied:] A real Christian would destroy false Christs as Jesus Himself warned about in Mat. 24:24. A Jesus who isn't the creator of all things outside Himself is a devalued and imaginary one, and not "over all, God blessed forever" as Rom. 9:5 says. And if you don't know Him, then you don't have life and are dying in your sins (Jn. 8:24).

[He replied:] Your just not being Christ like... Which real Christians strive for even when doctrine my not match exactly. Time to get over your hating.

[I replied:] if you'd read the New Testament, you'd get an idea of what "Christ-like" is. Try Matthew 23 for starters. Paul told Timothy to watch not only your life carefully, but also his doctrine (1 Tim. 4:16). If LDS don't have a false Christ that Jesus warned about in Mat. 24:24, then I don't know who does. Finally, your hypocritically calling me out for calling LDS out. So if you think what I do is hating, then so are you.

[He replied:] I'm ok with you believing whatever you want to believe. It's when you protest people's beliefs which are in fact more similar to yours than not that I have an issue with. What is the point of your approach? You get a thrill out of trying to destroy someone's beliefs? You will have more success trying love others the way Jesus loves them.

[I replied:] Well if you have an issue with me, then I have an issue with you. Did Jesus love them when He turned the temple upside down? Or how about when He called them children of the devil in John 8:44? Or how about when He called them hypocrites Mat. 23:13ff.? Of course He did. What that shows is sometimes warning people is an act of "tough love." The point of telling the truth is to warn people like yourself so you don't go over a cliff and perish in hell for eternity. If you'd read the www.MormonInfo.org Home page list of differences between Mormonism and Christianity, you'd see how vastly different our God, Jesus, Holy Spirit, and means of salvation are. Mormonism has devalued the God of the Bible making Him an exalted man who isn't literally the Creator of all things outside Himself.

[He replied:] You still forget the Love part when you try to disturb. And I think you are exaggerating to excuse rudeness by sighting scripture.

[I replied:] You sound like my 2-year-old when she gets warned from doing something she wants to do... "Daddy doesn't love me." ...you are being loved by having me warn you. Again, I can play this game too... "[You don't] show me love here on this thread. Boo hoo."

[He replied:] Your right. I have invaded your page and you shouldn't have to put up with it if you don't want it. So I will respect you and leave you alone.

[I replied:] I'm just pointing out your inconsistency here. I know you really do care about me and my beliefs, so I encourage [you] to keep a dialogue going on more important matters other than do I really love Mormons or not. So to help facilitate that, why are you LDS?

Rob, I can never thank you enough for the work you are doing through Courageous Christians United! Seeing what you go through in Manti and I know you go through it preaching at Temple Square and in other venues, but I see that the joy of the Lord is truely your strength. I am honered to be able to participate in a very small way in you ministry. May the Lord bless you!

Tara, you and Rob cannot even begin to imagine how much glory you both are giving to God in you ministry in Utah. I am so blessed by God to be able to have job and thus can render a small bit of support, but the work is all yours and of course Gods! I could never encourge you enough in what you are doing and I have so much admiration for you, because you both are really giving your whole selves to the Lord! Thank you, thank you, thank you and praise God!

Why is it that you like to belittle our faith. Don't you know when you belittle our faith you are doing the same to yours. However, you all are wrong with everything that you tell people about us Mormons. Just because you don't know anything about our faith you want to try to hurt us. Sorry to tell you that with my lord and savior on my side I can't be hurt. We do believe that Jesus was born by the virgin Mary she was overcome by the Holy Ghost. God tells us in the Bible about the Book of Mormon. So please try to do a little more home work before you start putting down my faith. I don't put down yours. Everyone has the right to their own faith even God said that. My question for you is this. Why dont you think God can't give us a prophet in these latter days as he have done in the old days? Why do you think that God can't have things written down for us which is not in the Bible? Isn't he God the all mighty and all knowing and the same yesterday, today and tomorrow? Just like Mark tells us: "And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. (Mark 13:13)

I hope that you will do what God tells us to do which is love each other and be kind.

God Bless You and Your Family,

[I replied:] Thanks for taking the time to reply.  I belittle false faith, because that's what my Lord did.  For example, Matthew 23 is clear in this regard.  Please read it.  Not only did He belittle false faith, but He warned against it in the next chapter--in verse 24.  Also, the apostles command us to tear down false faiths and defend our own (cf. 2 Cor. 10:4-5, 1 Pt. 3:15, and Jude 3).  And the final reason I belittle LDS faith is because your own scripture in D&C 71:7-8 tells me to: "Wherefore, confound your enemies; call upon them to meet you both in public and in private; and inasmuch as ye are faithful their shame shall be made manifest. Wherefore, let them bring forth their strong reasons against the Lord."

Given that's what Jesus, His prophets, and apostles did, I don't know why that would be belittling my own faith rather than simply upholding the Christian Faith.

Also, I need to point out your hypocrisy.  Your email belittles my faith, which is *partly* to belittle false faith.  So if you can do that to me, then of course I should be able to do that to others.

Saying I don't know anything of your faith is quite a generalization.  What you or other LDS believe personally is quite irrelevant to what I have quoted from your own leaders on my www.MormonInfo.org.  Those quotes are what you need to deal with.

The Bible doesn't ever speak of the Book of Mormon.  That's something you and other LDS presume upon the Bible.  You don't even give an argument for your statement.  If you have the "2 sticks" Ezekiel passage in mind, then please see my FAQ.

I do agree with you that everyone has the right to their own faith.  That's not the issue here though.  I'm an American, and I do believe in freedom of religion, as stated not only in our Constitution, but also in your 11th Article of Faith.  You are free to continue to believe what the LDS Church teaches and end up in hell.  My job, authorized by the Lord Jesus, is to warn others of their false faiths.

As for prophets or other scriptures today, I don't have a problem with that.  My claim is simply that the LDS have false prophets and false scriptures.  If you want more on this, please see my FAQ.

I like your statement that God's always been God "the same yesterday, today and tomorrow."  Unfortunately, that's not what the LDS Church teaches... unless of course it's qualified to mean from the time He became God.  But then that's not really being God from "yesterday."  Recall your 5th Prophet/President Lorenzo Snow's summary of Joseph Smith's King Follett sermon: "As man is, God once was; as God is, man may be."  That's central to Mormonism.  However, it is blasphemy as far as the Bible is concerned.

So I tell you these things, simply because I love you and want to see you with me in God's presence one day.

Best,

[He replied:] Dear Rob,

Thank you for your input but I truly think that you are wrong. However, like I said that God will judge everyone by what is in their hearts. I know that this is the true church and not because the people in the church say it is. I know it is because I prayed to God and he has told me it is. Before joining this church I went around to different churches for over 20 years and didn't feel like that I was getting the fullness of God's word until I came into this church. I know that the Book of Mormon is true because the Holy Ghost has shown me it was. Lastly, I know when it is time for me to die if I endure to the end and keep the commandments that God has given me then I know I will be going to heaven. Even God tells us in the Bible that your name can be blotted out of the Book of Life if you don't endure to the end. I just want to wish you best of luck because I am not going to argue with you on this matter because I know that the Holy Ghost flees away when you argue and I want to keep it within me. No, I am nothing going to Hell because of the church I am with I have God in my life and the God Head bares record of this.

Sincerely,

[I replied:] I'm glad that we can admit to each other that we both think the other is wrong.  Really.  We should disagree with each other, but hopefully do so agreeably.  As such, where does the Bible or even your own latter-day revelations teach you that you aren't to argue for your faith?  Of course there are bad ways to argue, which should be avoided, but why dismiss all the verses (including those from the D&C) that command us to argue for our faith?

I know your church is false, since I prayed and God told me it was.  He also showed me that the Book of Mormon isn't of Him.

I also know that I have eternal life now, since I have the Son in my life, who continues to demonstrate His power in my life.  This is what the Bible teaches in 1 Jn. 5:10-13.  This is the peace I have with God through faith in Jesus (Rom. 5:1).  As such, I don't need to get a temple recommend.  Jesus is my temple recommend.  I don't need to do all that I can do before I get His grace as 2 Ne. 25:23 teaches.  If that were the case, none of us would get His grace.  I have His grace before all I can do as Eph. 2:8-10 teaches.  I don't need to wear temple garments, learn secret handshakes and passwords, and get sealed to a wife for time and all eternity in order to go and live in the Father's presence someday.  Why do I need all that burden when Christ has paid it all for me?  He's given me the Father's presence, and He's promised to never leave or forsake me (Heb. 13:5).  Mormonism is bondage to the law, whereas Christ came to free us from that and live according to love for Him and others.

As for one's name being blotted out of the Book of Life, Rev. 3:1-5 says it's the one who overcomes that won't have his name removed.  So who is that?  1 Jn. 5:5 says the one who overcomes is the one who believes (remember the context of verses 10-13).  Everyone's name is in the Book of Life until the end of their lives.  If one never believes, then one gets their name removed.  It's the believers who do in fact overcome, and they are obviously *seen* by the works that they do.  But the overcomers don't think that it's their works that get them saved and the presence of God.  That would go against the way the Bible says one is saved (cf. Rom. 4:4-5).  They've already received that through genuine faith.  It's faith that expresses itself through love as Gal. 5:6 says.

Finally, the God you have in your life is imaginary and a false god.  It's not the God of the Bible, who is the creator of all things outside Himself (1 Cor. 8:6).  The LDS is simply an exalted man, who needed all sorts of things He didn't create in order to become a God for us.  That's a devaluation of the only true God (Jn. 17:3).

Your bro,R

I want to much commend your work brother, in the Mormon maze. I totally understand who you are talking too so clearly because I was a multi generational proud white and delightsom LDS adherents by blood line. Curse after curse of them. Up until praise God some two decades ago, I was set free by JESUS from a RELIGION who highest ideals I KNEW IN MY OWN SPIRIT I would NEVER earn or deserve. I was CONSTANTLY aware of my own wIckness and hopeless knowledge that what I had been taught all my life WAS VANE IMAGININGS. BuT I.DIGRESS.. :*)

I wish you All Gods blessings upon you as you follow His Holy Spirit to speak the Frank truth. I believe you are being used mightily and I am praying for you. I know what tuff nutts we can be to crack. Either you are seriously a masochist (doubt heavily) or ONE DUDE filled with a love and compassion for these really lovely great folks who ABSOLUTELY NEED JESUS NOT JOSEPH. My LDS tolerance has gotten thin skinned over the years and also leaving Utah didnt help. I got all comfy and Christian living out of Utah. I am quite offended by the information that you are posting on your website. I find it to be very rude that you are posting the wrong information. Not only is it not correct, but it is very twisted and misleading. I am LDS, and many of the information that you are posting about my beliefs are false. If you have questions about what I believe please ask me or visit www.lds.org. I would love to help clear up any misunderstandings. I know that we are ALL children of God, who loves us. His son, Jesus Christ, died for our sins so that we may live with Him again. I know our prayers are heard and answered. I know that we chose to accept our trials in this life before we came to Earth because we knew that by overcoming these hard things, we would not only have increased faith, but we would be able to draw closer to God than we would have been able to otherwise. The scriptures teach that there must be opposition in all things. For if you have never felt sadness, how could you know what happiness felt like? I know that our trials are really our blessings in disguise. I know that Thomas S. Monson is the living prophet today. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet, and he translated the Book of Mormon. I know that the Book of Mormon is true. I know that the New Testament, the Old Testament, and the Doctrine and Covenants are true. I know that God lives. And because He lives, we live.

Please re-consider your posts on your website.

Thank you,

[I replied:] Of course you would claim to know these things since you're LDS.  I know Mormonism is false and thus, not of God.  Your email really isn't helpful when you claim that I'm posting wrong information, and yet don't give a single example.  Perhaps you could start with one example, and read the LDS sources I give, and then tell me how I've got it wrong.

Best,

[She replied:] I would first like to point out that we do believe in the Bible and that we are Christians. Please read this link here.

[I replied:] Where did I say that LDS don't believe the Bible?  As for whether you're Christian or not, of course traditional Christianity (Catholic, Protestant, and Orthodox) regards Mormonism as false Christianity for all the reasons I list on the right hand side of my Home page chart of differences on MormonInfo.org.  So of course LDS think they are Christians.  I never said that's not true.  The issue is are they legitimately Christian, and you know what I think of that.

So do you have another example?

[Rob speaking:] So I just got back from the Brigham City temple opening, and listened to a cute message on my answering machine: "GO HOME YOU SATAN WORSHIPER!"

[Rob speaking:] This is undoubtedly from the same gal, who emailed me: “YOUR SO TACKY AND WHAT A WASTE OF YOUR LIFE TRYING TO SUPPORT YOUR CHURCH. YOU AREN'T PROVING ANYTHING SO STAY HOME AND AWAY. LEAVE THE LDS ALONE. I DON'T SEE YOU ON THE CATHOLICS DOORSTEP SO THAT MAKES YOU A RACIST AND A SATAN WORSHIPER. DOING EXACTLY WHAT SATAN WANTS YOU TO DO BECAUSE THIS IS THE ONLY CHURCH YOU ARE ATTACKING. DON'T YOU FIND THAT INTERESTING AT ALL?
YOU ARE A RACIST."

[Rob speaking:] Last month, the same gal wrote Tara, and said, “I just want to say congratulations on doing exactly what God said would happen, which is following Satan. Obviously someone has to take credit to cause such an annoyance. God stated that there would be persecution and you must feel so lucky to be part of a group to do exactly what Satan wants you to do. Even if what you believe is true, negative behavior is not attractive. Holding up signs or handing out fliers at the LDS functions is so tacky and so desperate. There are so many other ways to draw those to you because obviously you are in such a need for attention. I'm sorry that you have negative feelings towards the church. I personally would hate to live with that for the rest of my life. I wouldn't want to live my life realizing all I did and all I tried to accomplish was to TRY and bring down another church and what they believe. Everything is politics and everyone has their opinions on faith and what they chose to do with it is there business. If we marched on your door step when you did your Sunday, Monday, Tuesday or whatever day you choose as your session I'm sure you wouldn't turn the other check like most do. You would demand argument. No one is going to convince you of truth, but yourself. I hope your children or family are not suffering because you chose to stand at parking lots on a Saturday rather than spend time with them. Life is so short. Don't waste it. You may intend to say that you are getting the truth out there on your end, but don't waste your life on things that cause negativity.

You are making your church look so negative because you put others down for their beliefs. It's not attractive. I promise.

Good luck on your mission in life. Hope you can find some happiness and peace and one day not feel the need to create turmoil like the Lord said would happen. YOU ARE IT. Someone has to do it right? Someone has to follow Satan and do as he asks, which is cause Turmoil."

[Rob speaking:] Unfortunately, unbeknownst to me, I sent my support letter to explain our needs to a Mormon. Here's the dialogue...

“Rob,

I am sorry to hear about your problems. God does not prosper those who fight His Kingdom.

Perhaps now is the time to review your motivation. Basing your entire ministry on spreading hate and false information about the LDS Church is obviously not working.

Perhaps the problem is that deep down you know the Book of Mormon is true. You are like Zeezrom in the Book of Mormon. It is never too late to take up the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Perhaps you could get a full time teaching job or look at www.wjbuildabusiness.com.

I look forward to embrace you as a fellow Priesthood holder.

[I replied:] You sound like Job's friends. I, and even many of my LDS family and friends, reject the notion that I'm spreading hate and false information. You don't like the truth, so it's easier for you to label it "hate," and not point out what's false in the information I present.

I'd rather look at my situation that Satan hates the work we're doing out here, and what he means for evil, God means for good. As Jesus put it, no one sinned, but this has been done that the glory of God may be displayed (Jn. 9:3). As such, the model for us who follow Christ today is to suffer hardship as a good soldier of Jesus (2 Tim. 2:3). God got me to transition out of teaching to concentrate on getting the gospel out more, and He's got more people partnering with us to make that happen. We're well over the 1/2 way mark of what we need on a monthly basis, and I know He'll take care of His kids.

BTW, Alma 34:32-5 tells you when it's too late to take up the alleged Restored Gospel. However, Mormonism is clearly false, and God wants you to repent before it's too late.
