Mission teams
At the mission houseJuly was a busy month for entertaining mission teams. My dad and I went to speak to a Maven team from Minnesota at the mission house in Utah County. There were also a couple teams that came over to our place for dinner and a lecture. One was a Maven team from all over the country. The other was a Ratio Christi team from a couple churches in Georgia.

LDS missionaries
Funny! I was just walking into Walmart thinking "it's funny I haven't seen the LDS missionaries in a while. I wonder if they're just doing online shopping now." So as soon as I walk in, here are 2 guys. I shook their hands, got their names, asked where they're from, and how long they've been on their mission. One said, "Well, we really have to go since someone is out in a car waiting for us." I said, "Well, please check out my site some time. I know you can't look at it now on your mission, but perhaps when you leave it. It's 
At our housecalled JosephLied.com. I love you guys and just wanted to warn you that JS was a false prophet and he's ripping you off." They said, "OK" and we left. Got my milk and as I walked out, there they were waiting for their ride. I waved to them, got in my car, and as I passed them, I waved and said, "Remember, JosephLied.com." These missionaries have all been told to avoid me.
Jehovah's Witnesses
Two JW ladies came to the door the end of August. One said she's only been in for 2 years. The other for about 58 years. I told them I am familiar with what they believe and run JWinfo.org, and I'm concerned about how they have devalued Jesus. The older one said, "We've heard that before and Jehovah wants others to know Jesus." So I told them, the problem is that you have devalued Jesus from being Jehovah and the Bible teaches in Romans 9:5 that Jesus is God over all blessed forever. John 1:1-3 says that Jesus is God from the beginning who created everything." She said, "Well, we don't want to take up your time." I said, "Well, I'd like to take up your time. Your translation of the Bible has no backing from any Greek or Hebrew scholar." "Oh sure it does," she said. I said, "Name one. Princeton Greek scholar Bruce Metzger said it's an abomination."
They left and I went back inside. My dogs kept barking, so I looked out the window. There was a group of like 10 of them. So I got my JWinfo.org sign and held it up for them as they walked down the other side of the street. I told them to check it out since Jesus loves them and wants them to know who He really is.
