A house divided.
Glen - 5/10/2015

I am a young man, I am only 33 years old and I know that I lack the wisdom held by those who are of greater years than myself and of greater study. Yet I find myself day in and day out troubled as I look at the Christians throughout this blessed world. Everywhere I look I see Christian values and Christianity itself under constant attack from outside and sadly from within.

We were warned numerous times ranging from Matthew 12:25:
And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand:
To Mark 3:25:
And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand.

As well as many many other times throughout the scriptures we are warned about standing apart and not together. Yet as I look about the land all I seem to see is Christians infighting and trying to maintain a divided kingdom of God.

It seems as though we have all forgotten Matthew 7:1-3
1 Judge not, that ye be not judged.
2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
And have instead taken it upon ourselves to judge the beliefs of other Christians and find any Christian religion whose teachings do not match our own specific branch of Christianity as being wrong and in turn condem that branch of Christianity as well as try to pull people from it.

We have gotten so lost in our infighting within Christianity that we do not see that our house is divided and is in threat of being destroyed from without by those who follow the agendas of evil that now plague this land.

Instead of fighting with each other we should unite against those who wish to see us as Christians have our ability to stand up and express our beliefs shackled.

It is not o ur job nor right to judge another's belief in the Lord, Christ, and the Holy Spirit, it is God's right. If anything we are more than likely angering him by judging each other's version of Christianity instead of coming together and uniting against a common foe.

I pray that we all find it within our hearts to set our differences aside and focus on the true evils that plague our lands.

God's people must unite or he will let us be our own undoing and fall.

May god have mercy on us and on those who continue day in and day out to try and divide his kingdom.

May God guide all of us to get along better despite our various different forms of Christianity and to unite for the common good of all mankind.

May God bless all who follow his example and judge not but instead choose to unite under his banner against all the evils of this world.

Matthew 7:15-20: "“Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them."

This is why the Body of Christ made up of various denominations needs to stand together and against psuedo-Christian churches that pretend to be "the only true Church."

Unfortunately what I see as a reply was exactly what I was referring to. Instead of people being willing to focus on an outside threat they once again show that the only thing that Christians have left that they have interest in doing is fighting amongst themselves and deciding to judge one another. Personally I would have thought that the judging of others religions would be left up to God himself. Instead we take it upon ourselves to judge whether another's religion is what we believe is right. I am just happy that when I had my brief encounter with heaven almost 8 years ago that I was reminded to leave judgment up to God. I just hope that others can learn this lesson without having to go through the massive amount of physical trauma that I had to survive.

This simply begs the question that cults like Mormonism, Jehovah's Witnesses, Moonies, etc. are all on the inside promoting the same Christ and same God. Christ said to beware of false Christs in Mat. 24:24, so if you don't do that and stick your head in the sand by assuming everyone believes the same thing about Christ, then you're simply being disobedient to Christ. Take it up with Him. The only authority you give is yourself. However, I find Christ much more persuasive.

This is a reply to Glen. Let me get this straight. Are you really saying that we can't judge other religions or people in them on behavior issues? So slavery, rape, and other things can't be held to be despicable and worthy of God's wrath? Did I get that right or did I misinterpret you?

These posts reminded me of one of my favorite quotes! "Stand for something or fall for anything".
