Re: Scared and confused Mormon

Consider that to Mormons, unless you are first temple worthy and go through and obey all its ordinances, and keep all of the covenants of the temple, you can never ever be in the presence of Heavenly Father. It is dependent on what you do instead of being dependent on and having complete faith in Jesus Christ and what He did by dying on the cross and rising again on the third day. Having faith in Jesus Christ is not just the first principle of the gospel instead it is the gospel.

Modern day temples are not even needed because Jesus is the only temple we need to go through to pass through the veil directly to, God, Our Father in Heaven.

Consider that Jesus foretold that His body, this temple, would be destroyed and raised up in three days (read John 2:18-21)

John 2:18-21

18 So the Jews answered and said to Him, “What sign do You show to us, since You do these things?”
19 Jesus answered and said to them, “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.”
20 Then the Jews said, “It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and will You raise it up in three days?”
21 But He was speaking of the temple of His body.

Consider that when Jesus died on the cross the veil in the old temple was torn in two from top to bottom giving us direct access to Heavenly Father (read Matthew 27:45-51)

Matthew 27:45-51

45 Now from the sixth hour until the ninth hour there was darkness over all the land. 46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, “Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?” that is, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?”
47 Some of those who stood there, when they heard that, said, “This Man is calling for Elijah!” 48 Immediately one of them ran and took a sponge, filled it with sour wine and put it on a reed, and offered it to Him to drink.
49 The rest said, “Let Him alone; let us see if Elijah will come to save Him.”
50 And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice, and yielded up His spirit.
51 Then, behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth quaked, and the rocks were split

Consider that we can now boldly enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus which was shed on the cross directly to Heavenly Father, and we can now pass through to Heavenly Father “by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh” (read Hebrews 10:19-20)

Hebrews 10:19-20

19 Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, 20 by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh

So consider that Jesus is the only way to the Father (read John 14:6)

John 14:6

6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

Modern temples are not even needed and neither is being a member of any particular church as all we need is Jesus!
