 Update on Local LDS Missionaries
I briefly talked with the LDS missionaries living near my folks last month. There is now only one missionary that my dad and I talked with back in May. The original ones we met at the beginning of April are both gone. There is now a new one from San Diego. It seems that their Church keeps transferring the one who has been around longer every six weeks or so. My dad surmises that this may be a result of the Church not wanting them to build deep relationships with those they minister to or even with each other.

Our Facebook page has been growing quite a bit as of late since Facebook changed its rules on who can join public pages. We used to be quite restrictive in who we let in by requiring everyone answer 3 questions. Now anyone may join. However, in order to regulate spammers to a large extent, posts must still pass through us admins before they are public. As a result of this Facebook change, I have had much more interaction with people there, including LDS missionaries.
Classic Tracts are Online
One of our board members and good friend, Aaron Shafovaloff, got me to post all my old classic tracts (and some papers/articles) that I have been collecting for almost 40 years now. This was a huge project! I was using my old scanner for some of them. Aaron told me about a new Adobe PDF scan app, but I thought it sounded too technical and time consuming. Well, the next day, my scanner was no longer compatible and I was forced to get the app. I’m so glad I did! It makes the tracts look so much better and it really makes loading them easy.  We had our friend Alex Glaser from church come to share his testimony last month at our monthly Feast & Testimony fellowship. Alex did a great job. However, he did not want his testimony videoed given his concern of certain close LDS individuals to him finding it and watching it.

I am an ex-mormon. It's been about 4 years and I'm just barely starting to find Christ's light in my life. I feel like I'm here to help other Mormons find the truth as well. I would like to create an Outreach Center here in southeastern Idaho. What would you recommend to do to get started?
[I replied:] I praise the Lord for giving you eyes to see. I would not recommend you jumping into an outreach ministry at this time. I think your conversion to Christ needs a good grounding that a good Christian Bible teaching church will provide. "But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ" (2 Peter 3:18). I heard recently that nelson had recently changed portions of the temple ceremony especially related to woman and the veil. So I was curious if you knew about those changes. Thank you for any thoughts you can provide.
[I replied:] Things change all the time. They also just removed the Becoming Like God essay from the Gospel Topics. As far as I know, the most recent changes to the temple were last year: https://newsroom.churchofjesuschrist.org/article/first-presidency-temple-message-july-2020. Just got this… :
“In 2019 they removed the string from the mens hats, and stopped making the women veil their faces or swear to obey their husbands. In 2020, they stopped saying, ‘We desire all to receive it,’ and go around giving everyone the handshakes. Now only the witness couple are given the handshake and everyone just watches.
That’s pretty much it.

I left in 1995...I've watched this decline & have been aware of it for some time. I cannot thank enough, the Christian Apologists who have exposed much about the LDS. Sandra Tanner, Matt Slick, Rob Sivulka, Aaron Shafovaloff, and Bill McKeever ...I own them a great debt of gratitude. I thank God for them. The work they have done has truly changed the world as your research clearly demonstrates. Well done!

I am interested in becoming a Mormon just unsure and don’t have peace yet I was raised Independent Fundamentalist Baptist… all my life it was drilled into me daily I drilled it into my kids as I was taught yet not once did I believe the Scriptures the Christians I knew talk the talk yet never walk in the Light of Jesus Christ !!! they were miserable and their rules was beyond belief It was a miserable life for me and my family I went to a church for over 10 years yet now been shunned from those churches … left a bad taste in my mouth been in the dark a scary place for 13 years then one day the Elders asked if I wanted to have Bible Study on fb and I was so stoked I have begged so many people to help me understand the Truth of the Scriptures
I enjoyed the Mormons they are full of joy peace mild mannered soft spoken I want to take on those Characteristics !!! I feel like I finally have a family no more yelling cursing just happiness something I never knew among other Christians I was raised with
I do not really know the truths of their beliefs ?!? For I am new to their way of life !!!

That doesn't mean every Christian church is that way. And keep in mind, no one is perfect except Jesus. Keep your focus on Him, and when you do, you'll see Mormons have a false Christ.
