Dear friends,
Luke Wilson went home to be with the Lord today [11-13-7]. His son Nathan found him lying on the floor at home this morning. During the last several years, Luke had taken numerous tests to determine the best time to replace his failing heart. Over the last couple of years, I had several conversations with him about his health and the brevity of life. Just last week he told me his heartbreak over the loss of his wife Bertha last year was actually getting worse. He said during worship service at church on Sundays is when he missed her the most. I can’t help but grieve the loss of my friend Luke, but I take joy in knowing he is in the presence of the Lord he faithfully served since youth.
“Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.” (Ps. 116:15)
